TESTING AND PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS
Testing for Rank Promotion is performed at regular intervals throughout the year. Students are expected to train diligently with strong attendance to be considered for the honor of promotion. These promotions carry with them the responsibilities of learning more advanced techniques in addition to increased mastery of that which was previously learned AND progress in terms of maturity and helpfulness to newer students.

We know that life sometimes tries to get in the way of your training. Families have other commitments, children have school and other sports/activities. To be fair to everyone, we have standards of attendance to be eligible for testing. We know that there will  be "close calls." Those will be discussed, privately, between the student, their family, and the instructors.

We know that we will not be able to "make everyone happy," but the integrity of the school and its art must be preserved, otherwise we have no standards at all.
